Specifications

Original Style Basic Circulation Water Heater

The Original Basic water heater was designed in the 1960's for use and is still available today for those who want to replace their existing heater with this "through the wall" style heater. The 6KW - 001 - Kit includes the 6 KW heater with the circulation pump and pump installation kit. It attaches directly to the side of your baptistry, with water coming in at the bottom, being heated, and pumped out at the top. (tub must be filled before using). The unit is insulated, has an adjustable thermostat (60° - 107°F). There is a high limit switch set at 118°F. For use with 240V single phase power. It can be used with 208V but heating is reduced by 25%. With 120V, heating is reduced by 75%. This unit will heat 90 gallons per hour for a 30° rise. One year manufacturers warranty. Total height 27". Uses 1" and 1 1/2" water connections. 6 KW is 26" tall, 25 amps @ 240V single phase.

Have a Larger Baptistry-  over 750 gallons?

Heat your Baptistry faster!

Our Basic Water Heater is also available in a 240V - 11.5 KW size, which heats 115 gallons per hour to a 30° rise. This 11.5 requires a 60 amp resistive rating contactor and 24V transformer  to operate.

Our 11.5 KW Kit includes an MDI 60 Amp -    2 pole contactor which allows the transfer of current to handle the larger load.  It also includes a Honeywell AT140 foot mounted transformer, which steps down the voltage to control the switch in the unit.

Operates on 240V Single Phase, but can operate on  208V at a 25% reduction in heating.

Our price includes these items: the 11.5 KW Heater, the 1/40 HP pump, contactor, transformer, installation kit and instructions.

Basic Circulation Electric Baptistry Water heater 6 KW or 11.5 KW

DID YOU KNOW?

Center of water inlet to center of water outlet is 23 1/8" on the 6 KW.

INSTALLATION INFO

Assemble and make up tightly the complete heater and parts as shown (except slip joint nuts). Locate the most accessible place around the Baptistry for installation. Drill a 2-1/8" diameter hole 4-1/2" up from the Baptistry floor. Smooth hole and install chrome faced inlet flush port, by loosening at slip joint nut. Apply clear RTV sealant under chrome flange. Remove any outside insulation so port rubber gasket fits against outside of fiberglass wall. Measure center to center distance exactly between inlet and outlet fittings. Locate and drill a 2-1/8" hole for top port using method stated above.

Assemble complete heating system onto installed ports. Important - Block under heater or pump to support weight - this prevents leakage of Baptistry wall fittings.

Heaters are shipped with special Installation Instructions regarding wiring, etc.

Add wood or other blocks under your Basic Circulation heater to help support its weight and protect baptistry wall fittings.
